Terra’s Story
No addiction is pretty, but an addiction to gambling is particularly grisly. People with gambling disorder will continue to feel the urge to gamble even if it’s wiped out their life savings and destroyed relationships. Because of the immense emotional and financial toll, it’s the addiction with the highest rate of suicide. For those fighting this battle, it’s easy to feel hopeless. But there is hope.
Terra is a recovering gambling addict who is a shining example of how one can be at rock bottom and still bounce back to have a rich and meaningful life.
To bring hope to others, we extensively interviewed Terra and told her story by creating a website full of rich media—sound bites, videos, and scrolling animations—that immerse the viewer in her firsthand experiences.
